On The Spot Catering began in February 2019 with a single event serving 140 guests. The pressure was intense, but in that moment Alec realized he had discovered something deeply meaningful—something that fulfilled him both professionally and personally.
His culinary knowledge was not shaped in classrooms but in kitchens across the industry. From humble mom-and-pop restaurants to refined dining establishments, Alec learned the craft through experience. His very first job was washing dishes. When he finished early, the cooks would invite him onto the line to help. Those small opportunities became the beginning of a career as he absorbed everything he could about cooking, preparation, and the rhythm of a professional kitchen.
After a year of dedication and persistence, he was promoted to line cook. It was then that he truly recognized his calling. That moment came nearly a decade ago, setting him on the path that would define his life’s work.

From that first return event, Alec reinvested everything he earned into rebuilding his dream. What began as a single opportunity has grown into a company dedicated to offering more than just food—it offers a complete culinary experience. Today, that vision continues through both On The Spot Catering, delivering memorable events, and On The Spot Meal Prep, providing convenient, thoughtfully prepared meals for people with busy lives.
