  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 5 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (for soak)
  • 2 cups heavy cream + 3 tbsp sugar (for topping)
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced

  • Preheat oven to 350u00b0F. Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Beat egg yolks with sugar until pale. Mix in flour, baking powder, and whole milk.
  • Whip egg whites to stiff peaks. Gently fold into batter.
  • Pour into baking dish and bake 25-30 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes clean.
  • While cake cools, whisk together condensed milk, evaporated milk, and 1 cup heavy cream.
  • Poke holes all over the warm cake with a fork. Pour the three-milk mixture slowly over the top.
  • Refrigerate at least 4 hours, overnight is best.
  • Before serving, whip 2 cups heavy cream with sugar to soft peaks and spread over cake.
  • Top with sliced fresh strawberries and serve chilled.
